Foil Hook

Electro polished stainless steel hook. Comes with soft fixing kit for attaching to lowest support of Surf Racks with round supports. Also available for racks with rectangular supports or with a stainless steel saddle to fix to wall or ceiling. The hooks are designed to hold a built up foil, by the stabiliser/tail. They can also hold individual tails but not front wings on their own. They will also hold masts with closed holes.

Nice quality and concept but unfortunately in reality hooks don’t stay upright when hanging individual front wings on them - which is what I bought them for. When you place the front wing in them the hooks lean forward from the weight and wings just topple over forwards and fall out of the hooks… I’ve had to MacGyver my foil covers and hang my front wings vertically from the tips to get my foils to be able to hang in the hooks. Only the tail wings able to hang in them properly as they are smaller and lighter so don’t topple out forwards. Not ideal considering the price vs standard hooks - could’ve just used normal hooks the way I am hanging them on a bar now.

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry the hooks are not working for you. You will see in our product photos that the hooks are designed for storing either a mast, with closed holes, or built up foil kits (wing, fuse and stabiliser) from the lowest board rack support, hanging from the tail/stabiliser. Our Foil Hooks were never designed to hold only the front wings on a board rack. For this you have the option to wall mount the hooks with our stainless saddles and prevent 'toppling forward'. There are also other options that we would be happy to discuss, just let us know and few can find a solution for you.
